Ltd. and was subsequently rechristened as CavinKare Pvt. Ltd. in 1998. The company has the presence in more than 21 countries and has diversified into dairy, foods, snacks, and beverages businesses. It has strategic partnerships with Coty Inc. for Adidas and Jovan brands and Hawpar International for Tiger Balm. The founder chairman, CK Ranganathan, was born in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. He set up Chik India in 1983 with an initial investment of Rs. 15,000 with Chik Shampoo as its first product. CavinKare is one of India’s most promising enterprises today.
